Fiji is known for its natural beauty and gentle pace of life. The people of this dynamic Polynesian nation have held onto their ancient customs. The locals lovingly call it “the Fijian Way.” It continues to play a huge role in village and community life.
Fijians are warm and friendly, with a welcoming vibrant culture. For centuries, Fiji’s expansive sandy beaches and clear ocean waters have drawn travelers. Fiji is the tropical gateway to one of the world’s most spectacular natural attractions. I boarded my flight and began my adventure of a lifetime.
On the Island of Fiji, authentic thatched villas, tropical landscaping, and a pristine beachfront set a magical stage for exciting activities, relaxation, and international cuisine.
I got to immerse myself in Fiji’s pristine rainforest at Kila Eco Adventure Park. I explored the park’s beautiful scenery on my eco-walk, which includes views of the expansive valley and mountainous terrain.
My serene and enchanting walk took me past several varieties of flowering trees and plants like coconut, giant baka, mango, and palm. The rainforest trek has gradual ascents. I was very tired afterwards. After the exhausting sightseeing, I relaxed by the beach and relished the delightful island lifestyle.
Later I had a chance to journey into Fiji’s fascinating past with a visit to the world renowned Arts Village of Fiji at Pacific Harbor. Upon our arrival, I heard the reverberating sound of a hallow drumbeat and the serenades of the villagers. They all shouted “Bula!” to us. “Bula” is a Fijian greeting which means “How are you?”
I also witnessed interpretative dances that tell the story of Fiji’s culture and legends. I learned how pure coconut oil and flower extracts have been integrated into ancient Fijian beauty rituals. After a whole day’s sightseeing, I finally had some quiet time to reflect on the fascinating tales of Fiji’s dramatic past.
Fiji’s beauty captivated me as I came to know the people and culture. The compelling opportunity to see the vibrant Fijian life up close is one I will surely never forget. I am glad that I made the decision to embark on this alluring Fijian adventure overflowing with centuries-old customs and colorful culture.
The most important day of my life was the day I visited the Island of Fiji. It changed my destiny as a person and opened new possibilities for my personal creative freedom. The passion and energy of the Fijian people were immeasurable. I was very much inspired by them. This possibility shall and will elevate my level of gratitude. To travel is indeed a privilege for me.
I raised my glass and toasted the end of a wonderful trip. I was grateful to have had the privilege to depart for home with treasured memories of my adventures through the South Pacific.
